Today was a day of traveling in many directions. Everyone in the house went their seperate ways. The Birds and Jill, Michael and Michael all went to Venice for the day. The rest of us headed to the walled cities of Volteera and San Gimignano. We had a great scenic drive on the way there with the most incredible views of Tuscany. The two towns date back to before the birth of Christ. We walked the cobble stone streets of these two top of the hill walled cities. This is no longer a European tour it has now become the "Tour de Gelato" we are in stage 27. Gelato is the local ice cream here. It is much like ours except they make theirs with milk and we make ours with cream. They have gelaterias on every corner and it is impossible to walk by without getting any.
Everyone arrived back at the villa at different times of the night and some not even until the wee hours of the morning.
